photoblog image Canary Wharf under a blanket

Canary Wharf under a blanket

January 2009.  I took Kimberly on her first overseas trip to London.  I'd been there on a week long business trip, and she came over for a long weekend.

We almost got stuck for another day because of this snow storm.  It would have been great to walk around London in the snow.  Instead, we got "lucky," braved the snow, caught a cab, got to Paddington, made it to Heathrow, boarded our plane only 30 minutes late, and then sat on the tarmac for 3 hours.  Lucky, indeed...

Didn't have a tripod, so balanced the lens as best I could on my knee.  Not bad "sharpness" for 1.6 seconds of handheld shooting.

Not bad at all, Michael - a pity you couldn't have stayed longer!
